On October 12 to 15, 2023, the 21st Conference "Biomaterials and Mechanics in Dentistry" was held in Ustroń under the honorary patronage of His Magnificence the Rector of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, prof. Ph.D. n. med. Tomasz Szczepański, represented by the Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Education and University Promotion prof. Ph.D. n. med. Oskar Kowalski. Lectures were presented by representatives of the medical community and engineers. This meeting allows scientists to share achievements that are necessary to advance further knowledge. The organizers of this year's conference were: Polish Society of Medical Engineering, Department of Prosthodontics and Dental Materials Science of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Department of General Dentistry of the Department of Restorative Dentistry of the Medical University of Lodz, Materials Testing Laboratory of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Materials Testing Laboratory of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. The scientific committee of the conference was chaired by: prof. Ph.D. n. med. Jerzy Sokołowski, prof. Ph.D. n. med. Jacek Kasperski and dr hab. engineer Grzegorz Chladek, prof. World Cup. The organizing committee of the Conference was chaired by prof. Ph.D. n. med. Jacek Kasperski - Head of the Department of Prosthetics and Dental Materials Science, Head of the Department of Dental Prosthetics at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice and prof. Ph.D. n. med. Jerzy Sokołowski – Head of the Department of General Dentistry and the Department of Restorative Dentistry of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Lodz.
