ABSTRACT
The study describes the use of an inlay in the “inlay in inlay” system, as a supporting and fixing element of a double-abutment bridge. This folded bridge replaces missing tooth 47. Indication for this type construction occurs in situations when it is impossible to make a conventional bridge. Such situations occur mainly in the absence of proper alignment of abutment teeth. Another indication for the construction of the folded bridge is the inability to prepare the abutments in the traditional way due to significant inclination of the tooth lingually, buccally or if the abutment is tilted towards the edentulous gap. In this case, the use of a bridge in “abutment in abutment” system gives the opportunity to reconstruct the occlusal surface and prevents the occurrence of any occlusal disorders in the future. The presented case discusses the clinical and laboratory aspects of the prosthetic work as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the prosthetic restoration in question.
