ABSTRACT
The number of patients wearing complete dentures increases with the increase in life expectancy. Additionally, the growing awareness and requirements of patients force both doctors and representatives of prosthetic technology companies to constantly implement innovations and improve the quality and aesthetics of the existing acrylic systems and resins. The introduction of digital technology has allowed for their use primarily in prosthetics, in order to automate many of the stages of the production of prosthetic restorations, including complete dentures. 3D printing is increasingly used in medicine, it seems to be the future in the production of complete dentures, mainly because of its speed, precision and the possibility to print elements with complex shapes. Increasingly modern acrylic resins for 3D printing are appearing on the market, which, according to manufacturers, surpass traditional, and even acrylic resins used in the milling method. As a result of the fact that research and publications concerning this area are still scarce, 3D printing technology requires more careful evaluation and observation.
